The incidence of atopic dermatitis
Atopic dermatitis most often appears in areas with delicate or frequently folded skin – that is, on the face, elbow and knee sockets, neck, wrists and ankles.
In infants, it usually appears on the cheeks, forehead and chin.
In children and adults, eczema mainly moves to the folds, but in adults it can also affect the hands, trunk or limbs and has a chronic course.
